History

Our history is a foundation of trust. Past and present milestones illustrate what Neupert Vuille Partners stands for – since 1851 and until today.

1851 – Founding of the Law Firm

Dr. Heinrich Fick, Mayor of Marburg, establishes the law firm. In the same year, he is appointed Professor of Roman Law and Commercial Law at the University of Zurich.

1875 – Drafting of the Swiss Code of Obligations

Prof. Heinrich Fick submits to Parliament the draft of the Swiss Code of Obligations prepared by him. The Code enters into force on 1 January 1883.

1884 – Rector of the University of Zurich

Prof. Heinrich Fick is appointed Rector of the University of Zurich.

1897 – Takeover of the Law Firm

Dr. Fritz Fick, son of Prof. Heinrich Fick and, from 1917, President of the Zurich Bar Association, takes over the firm. In 1915, he publishes the first comprehensive commentary on the Swiss Code of Obligations.

1913 – Expansion of the Firm with Dr. Armin Schweizer

Dr. Armin Schweizer joins the firm as a new partner.

1924 – New Partner: Dr. Wilhelm Frick

Dr. Wilhelm Frick, with the firm since 1921, becomes a partner. The firm is henceforth known as Advokaturbüro Fick, Schweizer and Frick.

1933 – Expansion of the Firm with Dr. Oskar Hoffmann

Dr. Oskar Hoffmann joins the firm.

1945 – New Partner: Dr. Peter Prager

Dr. Peter Prager becomes a new partner of the firm.

1962 – Expansion of the Firm with Dr. Willy Frick

Dr. Willy Frick, son of Dr. Wilhelm Frick and founder and first President of Aerosuisse, the umbrella association of the Swiss aerospace industry, becomes a new partner.

1968 – Admission of Dr. Raoul Widmer

Dr. Raoul Widmer is admitted as a new partner.

1977 – Dres. Vuille and Jezler

Dr. Jean-Marc Vuille and Dr. Christoph Jezler, who after working at Bank Leu and Nestlé founded his own law firm in 1971, merge their practices to form the law firm Dres. Vuille and Jezler.

1981 – Dr. Dieter Neupert Becomes Partner

Dr. Dieter Neupert becomes a partner of the firm Dres. Hoffmann, Frick, Widmer & Partner.

1983 – Opening of the Law Firm Dr. Faber

Dr. Alexander Faber, former delegate of the International Committee of the Red Cross and legal counsel at Motor-Columbus, opens his own law firm in Zurich.

1989 – Close Cooperation

The firm Dres. Frick, Widmer & Neupert begins a close cooperation with the firm Dres. Vuille and Jezler.

1992 – Dr. Martin Dünner

Dr. Martin Dünner, former legal counsel and member of the executive management of Intershop Holding and the Doviag Group, becomes a partner in a commercial law firm in Zurich.

2000 – Restructuring

The firm is restructured under the name NEUPERT & PARTNER.

2011 – Merger and New Brand Identity

The firm NEUPERT & PARTNER merges with Vuille & Partner and is relaunched under the name NEUPERT VUILLE PARTNERS.

2014 – Dr. André Terlinden Becomes Partner

Dr. André Terlinden becomes a partner of NEUPERT VUILLE PARTNERS. He has been with the firm since 2012.

2021 – Dr. Timo Fenner Becomes Partner

Dr. Timo Fenner becomes a partner of NEUPERT VUILLE PARTNERS. He has been with the firm since 2018.
